SUSTAINABILITYResponsible family business
We are one of the leading sugar manufacturers in Europe with a family tradition of more than 150 years. We owe our success above all to our more than 2,500 employees in Europe. We have a special responsibility towards them.
STRONG TOGETHERWe stand up for each other
We want to move into the future together with our employees. That is why we offer them an exciting, attractive working environment and provide them with sustainable support for their professional development.
To this end, we revised our Code of Ethics and Conduct in 2022. In addition, as a member of the global online platform Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange), we are committed to continuously monitor our responsible business practices.
Since 2020, we have had SMETA audits (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) carried out at our Polish and German sites, and since 2021 also at our Ukrainian site. In accordance with the SMETA 4 Pillar Principle, working conditions, workplace safety, environmental protection and company ethics are audited.
With clear, reliable guidelines, we ensure fair cooperation. Learn more about the principles we are committed to.
Commitment to local communities
We want to play a responsible role within the local community long-term – not just economically, but also socially and culturally. For this reason, we are involved in a wide range of projects and support nearby events. In addition to our work within the local community, we donate sugar to food banks in Germany every year and are an official partner of the State Sports Association of North Rhine-Westphalia (LSB NRW).
