150 years of Pfeifer & Langen A sugary sweet anniversary
Natural sugar has been our passion since 1870. Over the generations, we have become one of Europe’s leading sugar manufacturers while staying true to our values, quality standards and innovative spirit.
The recipe for our success.
A pinch of innovation, a lot of agility and an extra portion of customer service. Over 2,400 employees across Europe embody this spirit, ensuring that our sugar satisfies the fine tastes of our customers every day. And all this is centred around nature’s sugar factory: the domestic sugar beet. It’s as sweet as sugar when you’re locally rooted and work closely with sustainable farming.

Our anniversary edition
Sugar is not just a flavour enhancer. It makes the world around us a little sweeter. For 150 years, our world has been devoted to the natural raw material from the native beet. Sugar is our passion, our source of energy and the very basis for the wide range of products under our Diamant brand. Perfect for sweet creations and drinks, cakes or home-made jam.
“In these times of disruption and digital transformation, a corporate culture built on trust and appreciation is vital. And for us, this is just as important as offering our employees the opportunity for personnel development. We give them the opportunity for education and career growth with us in a sustainable way.” Michael Schaupp |
“Sugar sweetens our life and adds taste. But with sugar, it’s all about acting consciously. That was the case 150 years ago, and it is still the case today. That’s why we firmly believe in the future of sugar and our domestic market in Europe. For our partners in agriculture and our customers, it is most important to have a common perspective with a solid belief in the beet and the sugar industry.” Uwe Schöneberg |
